The Casa de las Columnas de Triana in Seville will organize a transnational meeting dedicated to family caregivers of people with disabilities

In the framework of the European project Be Happy in Life

• Representatives from six European countries will participate in the event. In the case of Spain, the councilor delegate for the districts of Triana and Los Remedios in Seville, Mª Encarnación Aguilar Silva; the president and vice president of FAMS-COCEMFE Seville, Juan José Lara Ortiz and Nieves Márquez Matallanes.

• Around 4.4 million people aged 15 and over take care in Spain, at least once a week, for a dependent person, without this being part of their job.

The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville (FAMS-COCEMFE Seville) represents more than 125,000 people with disabilities and their families in Seville and province, and through the Erasmus + program co-financed by the European Union, organizes next Wednesday and Thursday, October 9 and 10, the 4th transnational meeting of the Be Happy in Life Project on 'Support tools for family caregivers of people with disabilities'.

Ready Women's project holds a short term transnational training in Turin on improving the employability of women with disabilities

A total of 20 people from 6 partner countries participated in a training, held from July 1 to 3 at the Istituto dei Sordi di Torino, within the 'Ready Women' program that seeks to improve the employability of women with disabilities.

The Ready Women project holds its second transnational meeting in Turin

The steering committee of the Ready Women project met on July 4th at the Istituto dei Sordi di Torino, located in Via S. Pancrazio, to celebrate 2nd transnational meeting.

The main objective of this meeting was to establish and evaluate the phase in which the Ready Women project was in. During the event it was also planned what would be the next stage of this important project that addresses the situation of women with disabilities in the workplace.

Empowering young people for employment

Encouraging the participation of young people with disabilities in public life, to improve youth employment policies and access to the labor market, is the objective of a conference held during 9th and 10th of May, organized by the Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical Disability in Seville (FAMS-COCEMFE Sevilla), co-financed by  the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
